FAST & PRAYER 2026

2026 INChurch Fast - Called to be STRONGER!

Join us as we come together as a church family to fast, spend intentional time with God, and grow from strength to strength. This will be a powerful season of prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal as we seek God’s presence and direction for our lives.

Commencing Sunday, 1 March, we begin 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting. This year’s devotional is written by pastors and leaders from INChurch Melbourne. This will be a corporate time of prayer and fasting. We encourage everyone to try a “Daniel” fast: eating bland food and drinking water, instead of fasting from all food. For 3 weeks, we give up enjoyable food and drink as we focus on others. There is no legalism. We invite you to join and seek the Lord together.

Each day at 5AM, you will receive a daily devotional in your inbox to guide and encourage you throughout the fast. If you have already subscribed to our E-newsletter, you will automatically receive the daily devotionals during the 21 days.

If you have not subscribed to our weekly E-newsletter before, click Subscribe to E-Newsletter to be included to receive the 2026 daily devotional.

Click the button below if you prefer to download a PDF version of the 21-day devotional. There will also be very limited printed copies available at church for those challenged by technology from Sunday, 1 March.

Get ready to be strengthened, refreshed, and transformed!

We believe prayer and fasting changes things! When we take the initiative to fast, we practise biblical values that Jesus first modelled for us. The act of fasting is sacrificing one of our most essential daily routines.

this is how we do it

Fasting is a powerful practice. When we take the initiative to fast and pray, we practise biblical values that Jesus first modelled for us. Fasting is an act of self-denial for the sake of spiritual focus. Instead of satisfying our own flesh and desires, we are focusing on being stronger together.

  • Join us in a Daniel partial food fast where we eat bland food and drink water to sustain our strength. We don’t give up eating and drinking; we give up the enjoyment and pleasure of eating and drinking. If it’s bland, it’s grand!

  • Turn down technology/media and turn up prayer and time in the Word

  • Read our Daily Devotion together

  • Attend a Connect group

  • Attend our corporate prayer meetings

  • Be in Church each week

Prayer Meetings

  • In Connect Groups, which meet across the week (view our Connect Group page for details of a group you can join)

  • ALL IN Prayer Meeting 4:30 pm Sundays at The HUB - Unit 6, 32 Rockfield Way, Ravenhall.

We advise you to personally seek the Lord and ask Him what you should do during this fast, and we encourage all who are able to truly give God their best. We also advise you to seek a physician’s advice before you approach any type of fasting. Certain individuals may need to limit how they fast because of their physical condition, illness, age or energy needs.

Let’s believe that we will all be STRONGER TOGETHER!
